TSC ADVISORY: Class Opening and Related Concerns for SY 2020-2021

Theresian School of Cavite welcomes School Year 2020-21 with the TSChoology as its ultimate e-learning solutions for the entire school community. This carefully designed blended learning program integrates virtual (synchronous), face-to-face (asynchronous), and home-based learning that will not only guarantee the utmost welfare and security of our students and employees during this period of a public health emergency but also a setting that targets the educational needs of all our students.

As we migrate to what is now known as “the new normal”, we will bring the TSC family culture of excellence and dedicated service online making sure that our core values, philosophy and sense of school spirit are reinforced in all our student-centered activities that will forge educational leadership, global competitiveness, sustainability, and the holistic formation of all our students.

We assert that our program is age-appropriate as it ponders on the level of preparedness, self-regulation, and motivation of all our students as revealed in our needs assessment. Also, the debilitating effects of too much screen-time exposure to children, and the best learning modalities whether synchronously or asynchronously are directed much talks and consideration. And of course, as our partners in education, none of these efforts will transpire without your bidding; so we meekly request for your usual support and cooperation. Please, let us join our hands in this endeavor for the sake of the whole child.

To enable the optimum transfer of learning and help the students focus, a limit of at least three subjects will be offered each day in the virtual classrooms.  Learning packages with printed instructional materials, and teacher-made audio-visual presentations inside will be delivered unto the students’ doorsteps weekly. Aside from these, we will also continue to pursue our school wide activities like the feast of St. Therese, Christmas festivity, Student Organization led programs, community outreach and others online. It is a herculean challenge but we will do it.

Opening and Schedule of Classes

Classes for SY 2020-21 will start on August 24, 2020. Note that there shall be a series of online subject teachers, class advisers, and parents level orientations before the opening of classes. A specific schedule for everybody’s perusal will be posted as soon as possible.

Considering our current situation and depending on the given circumstances and the government regulations in place, we declare that we are preparing to face any potential development with an open mind, accountability, and flexibility.
