What is TSChoolgy?

The term TSChoolgy is coined from TSC, Theresian School of Cavite, and Schoology which is a social networking service and virtual learning environment for K-12 school and higher education institutions that allow users to create, manage, and share academic content. Schoology is also known as a learning management system or course management system, the cloud-based platform provides tools needed to manage an online classroom. It helps teachers contact students with homework and more. Teachers can post daily reminders or updates and message students, manage the assignment calendar, and put new assignments.

Preparation for the TSChoology: The Ultimate E-Learning Solutions

The TSC Administration is tirelessly working on a grand move to transform the school into a COVID-19 resilient facility to safeguard the safety of the school community. The Academic Team, on the other hand, headed by the newly appointed Assistant Vice President for Academics, Mr. Jan Michael O. Santos is fast-tracking the development of the contextualized teacher-made instructional materials, audio-video presentations, student-centered activities, targeted instructions and authentic assessments that will cater the needs of the students.

Salient Features of TSChoology: The Ultimate E-Learning Solutions

1. Anchored on the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) and in line with TSC’s Mission and Vision Statements
2. Powered by Schoology, the 21^st Century Learning Solutions for the Whole Child – platform for the classroom of the future. The first in Cavite.
3. Easy-to-use and laptop, tablet and mobile phone friendly software
4. Contextualized teacher-made audio-visual presentations, student-centered activities, targeted instructions and authentic assessments that cater to:
   • visual
   • auditory
   • tactile or kinesthetic, and
   • those learners with mixed modalities
5. Specially designed classrooms that serve as learning hubs for 15-20 students per class
6. Small class size for both virtual and face-to-face as per government regulations

Program Details of TSChoology: The Ultimate E-Learning Solutions

1. Virtual Classroom (synchronous)
   • Students with stable or strong internet service connect with their teachers and fellow classmates in real-time via live, synchronous setting driven by Schoology.
2. Home-Based Learning (asynchronous)
   • Students who opted to study in their own pace and those with weak or no internet service are provided with comprehensive Learning Packages delivered unto the students’ doorsteps as listed.
     • What’s inside the packages?
       • Instructional materials
       • Easy-to-follow audio-visual presentations
       • Answer keys (sealed)
       • OTG for easy access of files (laptop, mobile phone, smart TVs)
3. Face-To-Face Learning (asynchronous)
   • This traditional asynchronous instructional method allows for an in-person interaction between the teacher and a group of 15 to 20 students per section.
   • Applicable only when the community quarantine is lifted.
4. Virtual Classroom Vis-à-vis Face-to-Face Learning
   • Students enrolled in both face-to-face and virtual classrooms interact in real-time via teleconferencing and live video feeds.
   • Only 15 to 20 students are accommodated per section.
   • Applicable only when the community quarantine is lifted.
