TSC Academic Program and Subject Areas
The school curriculum reflects our current wisdom for fulfilling the scholastic mission of TSC, which is to provide a superior primary, elementary, and secondary education that fosters the development of children’s intellectual curiosity and imagination, their physical well beings, and their moral strength and vision. A wide range of courses ensures that the educational needs of all students are catered for, according to their interests, abilities, and aspirations.
Pre-School

The goal of the Pre-School Education Program (PSEP) is to discover the wellspring of creativity that resides in each child. Children are capable of producing impressive tasks when nurtured and inspired by one another and a rich environment. This is a time for discovery and explorations.
From Nursery to Kinder, fundamental techniques of spelling, grammar, and math are taught. Imagination is accessed and stimulated in many ways. Children listen to stories and music, which inspire them to create images. They participate in descriptive conversation to stimulate the themes and inventions that inspire their projects. Academic tasks are often designed to incorporate existing interests of the children and thus, encourage and develop their natural imagination and aesthetic sensitivity. The PEP is based on K-12 curriculum of the Department of Education.
Grade School

The Grade School Education Program’s (GSEP) main thrust is to give more focus on teaching the tool learning areas for an adequate development of the competencies for learning how-to-learn. It is also geared toward providing experiential learning where the learners can apply practical knowledge and life skills and demonstrate deeper appreciation of Filipino culture and heritage.
The GSEP embraces the K-12 Curriculum giving greater emphasis in making the learners become creative individuals, critical thinkers, good communicators and collaborators.

Junior High School
TSC Junior High School Education Program (JHSEP) has been adapting the 6-12 Curriculum. In this restructured curriculum, training in life skills, the identification and analysis of values, and the recognition of multiple intelligences permeate all the learning areas. It promotes more mutual interaction between students and teachers, between students themselves (collaborative learning), between instructional materials, between students and multi-media sources, and between teachers of different disciplines (collaborative teaching). More emphasis is given on Cooperative Learning Group to enable all the students to be engaged in all the activities and interact among themselves for learning exploration. The learning styles of the students are given emphasis since the learning activities are student centered. Moreover, students are encouraged to be good communicators.

Senior High School
The Senior High School Education Program (SHSEP) covers the last two years of the K to 12 program and includes Grades 11 and 12. In SHS, students will go through a core curriculum and subjects under a track of their choice. These two additional years will equip learners with skills that will better prepare them for the future, whether it will be Employment, Entrepreneurship, Skills Development or Higher Education. SHS covers eight (8) learning areas as part of its curriculum, and adds specific tracks (similar to college courses) based on four (4) disciplines:
Academic (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Accountancy, and Business Management, and General Academic Strand) |
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (with highly specialized subjects with TESDA qualifications) |
Sports |
Arts & Design |
Students may pick a track based on how he or she will want to proceed after high school graduation. SHS creates the following opportunities:
Standard requirements will be applied to make sure graduates know enough to be hirable. |
Students can now be able to apply for TESDA Certificates of Competency (COCs) and National Certificates (NCs) to provide you with better work opportunities. |
Partnership with different companies will be offered for technical and vocational courses. |
The student can now get work experience while studying; and companies can even hire him after graduation. |
We offer four (4) strands in our Senior High School: STEM, ABM, HUMSS and ICT.

TSChoology Ultimate E-Learning Solutions

What is TSChoology?
The term TSChoology is coined from TSC, Theresian School of Cavite, and Schoology which is a social networking service and a virtual learning environment for a K-12 school like TSC that allows its users to create, manage, and share academic contents. Schoology is a Learning Management System (LMS) that provides tools needed to manage an online classroom. It helps teachers contact students with homework and more. Teachers can also post daily reminders or updates, message students, and manage the assignment calendar and put new assignments for the student to work on.
Salient Features of TSChoology: The Ultimate E-Learning Solutions
Here at TSC, we made sure that DLP is anchored on the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) and in line with TSC’s Mission and Vision Statements. With TSChoology, the students, parents, and teachers alike will be able to:
1. Engage beyond the classroom
Teachers can conduct distance learning using contextualized teacher-made audio-visual presentations, student-centered activities, targeted instructions and authentic assessments.
2. Attend to online conferences
There are real-time sharing audio, video, slides, chat, and screen sharing that enables TSC to deliver a high-quality learning experience to remote students.
3. Communicate 24/7
Teachers can send course updates and reminders about the upcoming events to students and parents.
4. Unlock collaborative potentials
Parents are involved in the development of their children by having access in their children’s course submissions, grades, and attendance as they receive periodic e-mail digests that summarize their children’s activity in Schoology.
5. Observe privacy
Parents have “view only” access to their children’s courses so they could not edit, submit, or participate within the course. Their guidance, however, is much appreciated.
6. Experience a self-learning environment
Student-to-student messaging is turned off by default or as the need arises for all student accounts to make sure that there is no distraction while the class in ongoing.
7. Enjoy mobility
Schoology has a mobile application for iOS and Android, any student, parent, and teacher can access resources, lessons, assignments, and discussions, whenever and wherever they are.
TSC’s Other Supplementary Programs: Proven to raise readers, learners, and achievers
Our Other Supplementary Programs:
TSC also has in its arsenal other supplementary programs that will augment the students’ learning experience in TSChoology – the Scholastic Prime English and the ACES+ Program.
Prime English is an essential digital classroom management tool for independent reading that gives both the teachers and the students a one-stop access to a growing portfolio of online education resources. Through this online platform, TSC can create a new generation of successful readers. This is made possible through our eight years of doing business with Scholastic, a leader in publishing and education for nearly 100 years.
This is consistent and systematic link between measurement, engagement, instruction, and performance monitoring that leads to continuous progress in reading and literacy achievement.
1. Measure
Literacy Pro, an online adaptive reading assessment, measures the students’ Lexile score or their reading comprehension level. This provides the teachers and the parents with actionable reports that matches students to the right books.
2. Engage
Students have access to Literary Pro Library which has 1,000+ fiction and nonfiction e-books ranging in Lexile from Beginning Reader to 1340L anytime and anywhere using any gadgets they have. Every time students reach a target reading goal, they are given book prizes and pins.
3. Instruct
To accelerate literacy achievement, a targeted instruction using read aloud, phonics, and reading comprehension kits are used by teachers in their classes. Through these kits, TSC helps students become thoughtfully literate; build the foundation for reading fluency; and develop into confident, successful and independent readers.
4. Monitor
TSC through Prime English provides diagnostic, formative and summative assessments throughout the year with the Lexile pre-tests and post-test and the book quizzes students take after reading a book.
Guided by the Whole Child Approach, the ACES+ Assessment Program elevates the success potential of every learner with ACES+, an internationally benchmarked, outcome-based, P21 Skills aligned standard-based assessment program to measure the holistic (cognitive and non-cognitive) development of the students.
Piloted in SY: 2019-2020 with Mathematics and Science subjects on board, TSC was able to see its relevance in keeping the school standards at par or even ahead with DepEd’s Minimum Leaning Competencies. On SY: 2020-2021, English, Filipino, and Araling Panlipunan are integrated in this program to widen the school’s capabilities in terms of assessing the students. This is also made possible through our years of partnership with REX Book Store, a 21st century learning solutions provider in the Philippines, providing books, digital solutions and more for the Filipino whole child.
The ACES+ Assessment Program measures the students’:
- Cognitive/reasoning ability,
- Knowledge dimensions,
- Level of understanding,
- 21st century skills,
- Self-efficacy, student’s interests, attitude, and
- Student’s background
The good news is, Prime English and ACES+ can also be adapted in TSChoology offering the students not only ease and comfort but also a singular Learning Management System (LMS) at their disposal that they could access anytime and anywhere.
TSC adapted a program of debriefing and coping strategies to help different members of the school community take care of their mental health and manage stress brought about by the pandemic crisis. TSC’s Counseling and Student Development Center is in charge of the program and will regularly inform the community of its services via online by clicking this link.
